It looks like you have focused on Second Life. I am curious to know how you will set up your search. What database will you use?
I like your topic as I have heard a few teachers talking lately that are using Second Life in their classroom. I am like you, I wouldn't know what to do and I would be standing there with people walking through me! I have never even visited Second Life. But it seems to be huge. I am not sure exactly how teachers are using it in the class but it sounds interesting. WIU has a Second Life 'place' or however that works. Have you been to it?

I am certainly not a techno whiz and typically fight technology until I am forced into it, such as owning a cell phone, but I love that you are embracing this topic. The University of Utah in Logan Utah does a tremendous amount of work on this topic and is heavily invested in research. As we are to use databases I am not sure that is helpful, but it may be a place to start.
Thanks for your input everyone. That is HUGELY helpful. I've started searching with both ERIC and Google Scholar and I've found a good deal of research. I think that implementing 2nd Life fully as it exists today is still a ways off for most schools. But it would seem there are ways to manage components of this type of technology.
